Adventure Starts Here

Troop 664 welcomes youth from ages 5 to 17 to learn leadership, teamwork, and outdoor skills in a supportive community.

A colorful cluster of scouting gear arranged playfully on a smooth wooden floor: a bright red and teal backpack with rounded edges, a neatly folded forest-green neckerchief, and a whimsical, cartoon-style fabric patch embroidered with “Troop 664.” Around them, rounded camping icons—tiny tents, compasses, and campfires—are printed on a cheerful table mat beneath. Soft afternoon light pours in from an unseen window, creating gentle, curved shadows and subtle highlights on zippers and fabric texture. Shot from a slightly elevated, eye-pleasing angle with sharp focus throughout, the composition is energetic yet tidy, using photographic realism with bright colors and a playful, modern aesthetic ideal for a scouting troop homepage hero image.
A friendly, rounded model campsite displayed on a smooth tabletop: a small dome tent in bright teal and yellow, a miniature orange campfire made of painted wood, and a curved, glossy blue water bottle marked with “664.” Surrounding them are colorful, simplified icons of trees and mountains printed on a mat, their shapes soft and bubble-like. Golden evening light from the side wraps the scene, adding warm highlights to the tent’s fabric and casting soft, curved shadows. Photographed at eye level with a shallow depth of field, the background softly blurs into warm wood and suggestion of indoor space, creating a whimsical, energetic, photographic image perfect for illustrating the troop’s camping adventures without showing people.

About Troop 664

We are a co-ed scouting program based at Rutgers Presbyterian Church in New York City, offering weekly meetings, service projects, and outdoor adventures.

Upcoming Events

An overhead, bird’s-eye view of a playful scouting planning table, featuring an open, rounded-edge notebook with a hand-drawn map of a park, complete with cartoonish trees, winding trails, and a bold star marking “Meeting at Rutgers Presbyterian.” Beside it sit a bright orange compass, a chunky green flashlight, and colorful merit badge-style patches shaped like tents, campfires, and hiking boots. Diffused daylight from above creates even, soft illumination, with minimal shadows and vibrant, saturated colors. The composition uses sweeping curves in the map lines to add motion and energy, captured in crisp photographic realism, evoking excitement and organization for weekly troop and pack meetings.

Family Scout Night

Join us for a friendly evening of games, projects, and teamwork for boys and girls ages 5-17.

A close-up, low-angle photograph of a whimsical wooden signpost model standing on a smooth, light-colored surface. The sign has three rounded arrow planks painted in bright primary colors, labeled "Pack 664," "Troop 664," and "Ages 5–17" in friendly, bold lettering. Around the base, tiny sculpted trees and a miniature church building with a subtle “R” on a banner hint at Rutgers Presbyterian. Soft studio lighting from two sides creates gentle highlights that curve along the sign’s edges and cast playful shadows of the arrows onto the surface. The mood is inviting and energetic, with a clean background in soft-focus pastels that reinforces the troop’s playful, inclusive personality in a photographic, high-clarity style.

Campfire Night

Bring your curiosity and get ready to earn badges, try new activities, and meet our volunteer leaders as you explore the outdoors and service projects.

A neatly arranged collection of scouting merit badges and patches laid out on a rounded-corner, navy-blue cloth bearing the subtle text “Troop & Pack 664.” Each embroidered patch features bright, playful icons: a stylized campfire, a simplified city skyline, a cartoon compass, a cheerful tent, and a tiny church silhouette. The stitches are sharply detailed and slightly raised, giving a tactile, real-world texture. Warm overhead lighting creates tiny highlights on the threads and soft shadows between badges, emphasizing their shapes. Photographed from directly above with strong clarity and saturated colors, the composition uses gentle curves in badge arrangement to create a dynamic, energetic layout, perfectly suited to showcasing the variety of experiences offered by the troop.

A cozy indoor corner staged as a troop meeting space, featuring an empty semicircle of small, rounded-back camp stools in bright primary colors arranged on a polished wooden floor. At the center sits a low table with a model campfire centerpiece made from felt logs and tissue-paper flames, surrounded by neatly stacked, color-coded handbooks labeled with “Cub Pack,” “Scouts BSA,” and “Troop 664.” Soft, warm pendant lighting from above casts gentle circular pools of light and subtle, curved shadows. Shot at a slightly elevated angle in photographic realism, the scene feels welcoming and energetic while remaining free of people, embodying the playful spirit of Thursday evening gatherings at the church.
